Construction Details:

The whole costume was made by hand. The swords, wings and the toga were not made by me though. My aunt made the toga and I had the swords commissioned. I bought the wings in October from a costume store. I made every other part by hand. I used brown fabric, white fabric, and various colors of ribbons for the arm guards, hand guard, arm band, belt cover, and the leg guards. The head piece is made from a plastic hair band, and fake leaves hot glued together then spray painted gold. The shoulder piece is a piece of PBC pipe cap spray painted gold with a piece of red fabric covering it. The sandals were originally a pair of cheap brown flip-flops that I hot glued fabric to, to create the sandals/leg guards. That was by far the hardest part to do. As for the tank-top I'm wearing. I cut it up the seems and used safety pins to hold it together so that I could put my wings on and have the tank-top go over them. It worked out well. I am so happy with how this came out and the fact that it didn't fall apart the first time I wore it. The only thing that did happen was the fabric stretched so I had to use safety pins to keep things from falling. And I'm glad that a lot of people seemed to like it.
