About this Costume
Construction Details:
Hair Clip - Left over square piece of fabric from the cape. I sewed the remaining tassels and trim and then used a purple flower clip to attach it to the wig.

Dress - I found a tutorial on Youtube on how to make a wrap around dress. I ordered red wine stretch velvet from the UK. I hand-sewed stretchable sequin trim on the top and bottom of the dress. The Amano-ish design was painted by my friend Doug and he used acrylic paints.

Gloves - Sewed the same way as the dress with sequin trim. Doug also painted these.

Scarfs - Zebra scarf was bought from Ebay. The blue, green, and yellow scarfs were hand-made. These scarfs were hand-beaded.

Beading - Fishing line, patience, and lots of beads.

Resin Belt - I casted different colors of resin and then backed them with silver reflective cardboard. The gold part of the gems were made of model magic and painted gold. The gems were then glued to a gold painted belt with Amazing Goop.

Tights - White tights painted with metallic gold/orange flowers.

Boots - Black thriftstore boots that I painted multiple layers of gold and red and then Doug painted the flowers on them.

Cape - Found the most amazing fabric on Ebay for $40 with shipping. It was beautifuly made with embrodery and sequins. I found a tutorial online that showed me how to make a cape. I then sewed the trim and tassels to it. I added a gold and purple crystal trim to the sides of the cape. More red resin gems were added to the cape for the "necklace" look.

Earings - Bought at a thriftstore.

Magicite - I drafted the Magicite from a rupee and then made a mold. I lined it with packing tape and put green resin in it. I then gently placed a left-over red resin gem in it and let the thing cure.

Makeup - I wanted a crazy and elaborate look. My eye makeup consisted of pink, yellow, and orange colors and I painted my eyebrows green.
Personal Thoughts:
I wanted to complete a cosplay that would resemble an Amano character. It was my first time working with resin. I watched so many movies and T.V. series while beading during Christmas break.

This was my first cosplay that I took to a convention and to my surprise I won an award!
