Construction Details:

This was my first time making any kind of tradition Japanese clothing; I was pretty unsure at first, even with the reassurance from everyone else who have made kimono or yukata before. But, in the end they were very right, it's all just rectangles and was very simple once I knew what to do - which is good, seeing as this outfit was made the day before our shoot (but a month before the con! heck yes) I took the advice/help from 'Ultimaaa' who had made many in the past for old BLEACH cosplays. The outer piece is blue and then painted white. I mixed white acrylic paint with fabric medium and painted two coats, I still feel it needs another. I doted the end of a chopstick into the paint to create the 'spots'

Personal Thoughts:

As soon as I saw the artwork for Shizuo's character single I was like 'so when are we cosplaying it?' lol. I'm really happy to be able to cosplay another variation of Shizuo.
