Construction Details:

Ok so this was really my first time working with "hard" materials. It doesn't look amazing, but I'm still pretty proud. I made the body suit first there's about 24 different pieces to it give or take. It was probably the easiest part of the costume to make, only taking about a week 1/2. The Mechanical Butt-Wings, Arm-wing, and Visor are all made out of double layered styrene that I painted gold, and 2 layers of red cellophane. It's a bit hard to tell but there are these "bulbous things on them as well, and I vacuum formed those. They are attached onto my costume by some simple screws and bolts. I dyed the wig cause when I got it in the mail I didn't think it was dark enough, and I cut it into the basic shape. The helmet was the hardest part, I tried several different techniques and in the end had to just plaster my head and cover the whole thing with several layers of pourable epoxy. The "bulbous" things where my ears are were vaccum formed as well, the edges covered in paper clay.
