Construction Details:

Baron and I skyped through the whole process of making these costumes so that they would look as cohesive as possible despite the fact that they were being made over 2,000 miles apart! I found a gorgeous pink brocade to use as the main fabric, and used casa pink bridal satin for the accents. The jacket is lined with gold shantung. I bought out 2 Joann's and 3 Michael's worth of that trim...and still ended up searching my trash for scraps to finish it! There's over 18ft of trim in each sleeve alone.

The skirt is 3 layers -- light pink casa bridal satin, rose colored organza, and a top layer of light pink casa bridal satin. I hemmed over 48ft of skirt to finish that trim.

Personal Thoughts:

This was made to compete with Baron at the WCS prelims at Katsucon 2012. I haven't ever made anything quite so...girly, so this was a blast to make and to wear!
