About this Costume
Construction Details:
I hand-painted a feather and beaded some satin cording for my headpiece. My collar closes in the back with velcro (too lazy for anything nicer) and is made of cheap cotton (light green) and stretchy swimwear (dark green). The titty harness is made of pleather. The bra is a bra (about 2 cup sizes bigger than me) with stretchy swimwear fabric stretched over and sewn onto it. The shirt is made of cheap cotton (light green) with bottomweights dyed to match the bra heat-and-bonded on top to make that argyle pattern. The black details on the side are black pleather. My pants are made of the same dyed bottomweights and are basically just two pairs of pants layered over each other.
My belts are made of stretch pleather and are glued to the shoes and hook on with snaps. The quiver and boot armors are made of craft foam. The silver detailing on the boots and quiver fletchings are made of sintra. The arrows in my quiver are just wooden dowels with sintra details and are glued into the quiver. I thrifted the base boots. My gloves are made of pleather.
My arm armor was all made of varying thickness of craft foam covered in worbla. I was a dark gray glove underneath made of cheap stretch fabric.
My bow was made with sintra, spray foam, paper mache, spackle, plastidip, and spray paint. In hindsight, this was a pretty bad build since it was very heavy, but it was my very first big prop. It was originally a sintra skeleton that I patterned, then bulked out with spray foam. The spray foam was then covered in tape and paper mache, then spackled and sanded, then plastidipped and spray painted.
Personal Thoughts:
I originally only cosplayed Noire in order to match my Tharja but I ended up really loving being her! Noire is a relatively comfortable cosplay for me and is a lot of fun for me to wear! Posing as her is really fun; being an eternally sad demon truly is a blessing. Getting into this costume is quite a hassle; I didn't care much about getting in and out of cosplay when I was making it so it requires a lot of wriggling and jumping and contorting to get in and out of.
