Construction Details:

The dress was made using a slip pattern from Folkwear that I modified. The necklace I made, the bracelets and earrings were found, and the shoes I colored red. Even though the costume itself is fairly simple, I take some pride in making sure certain details are accurate, like the necklace, earrings, bracelets, and shoes. I chose the slip pattern because, A) I thought it was kind of funny if Panty was really just running around in a slip, B) I like this pattern and Folkwear patterns in general, C) I really wanted my dress to be cut on the bias and this pattern already accounts for that, and D) it soothed my freakish need for accuracy because Panty slips her dress off in the last episode and steps out of it, and I can do that in my dress.

Personal Thoughts:

I love this character. Honestly, I went into Panty & Stocking expecting to like Stocking and potentially cosplay her, but I just ended up liking Panty more. Seeing as how the dub was just released, I figured there wouldn't be a better time to make this costume, so why not?

Styling Notes

I straightened the wig out, then tried to give each layer a flippy curl at the end. The curl ended up falling out due to not enough hair spray. The bangs and ahoge were styled by taking sections of the bangs, trimming, teasing, then hairspraying, and using a bit of gel on the tips.
