There's a funny backstory to this outfit! I was at the end of my senior year and I've wanted a new ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dress) for formal ceremonies and my mom decided to make me one as a graduation gift. We selected out the fabrics for the ao dai and she made it for me to congratulate the end of my high school year. It also somehow worked for the Vietnam character in the Axis Powers Hetalia series and although there isn't much on her, I think her design was pretty cute so I stuck with it. Worn at Anime Expo 2009 and Anime Expo 2010.
