Construction Details:

The shirt is made out of poplin and is semi-lined (I got lazy). I modified an oxford/button-up shirt pattern for this. It has a side zipper to get in and out because I felt that it was easier than to have each of those stitch closures in front actually work. The modified sailor collar and tie were hand drafted. I also made the cloud thing poofy on the tie! It's fun to poke. :3

The skirt is made out of this nice blue sateen.

Her coat is made out of thin denim and lined with a light cotton. I purposely chose an off white for the coat so that it wouldn't blend in with her white shirt.

Personal Thoughts:

Maka, to this day, is the only character I've made more than one costume for. I'm not even sure why, but ♥ Maka, our boring bookworm with the heart of gold~

*EDIT* As of early 2012, omg I'm finally done with her stupid coat...like a year later...
