Hey,does anyone know if an anime convention is coming to Kansas or somewhere near Kansas?

Nashville, TN. Some Anime convention there. I'll ask my friend if he knows about it. I think it's in April.

I hear ya, I know someone in Nashville. His parents always tell him:

He steriotyped by his location and a country music lover and a cowboy... even with his parents.

I live in Lawrence. There was a small convention here last month. There's a couple in Kansas City, but they are Sci-fi. One of them is 21+. There's also an anime con in St. Louis, Missouri.

I live and belong to an anime club in emporia.
here are the ones i know about in ks.

NakaCon- is KU's anime club. they have started a small convention in lawrence at the KU campus. it is usually held in march.2007 will be the third year. this year they had Greg Ayers and Caitlin Glass as guests.

Anime Wichita Fest- is coming up on aug 19-20.
it is in its second year.

a large group of from our club will be going to wichita.

is Kansas really that boring? it must stink, I live in Illinois so I dont kno much about kansas (besides from the Wizard of Oz >-<) but try using the internet, unless someone already suggested that (didn't want to have to read all the responses to ur first post! >o< ^-^ Good Luck!

That stinks that Kansas has a lack of anime... I really appriciate living in Ohio because it has conventions that are only about a 2 hour drive away! ^-^!

hey, we're not entirely without our anime here!

There are a few anime clubs around (college and otherwise) and we really do have our own con, though it's moving into the Missouri side of Kansas City for next year. I think something has been or will be posted about it shortly, but you should check into it. http://www.naka-kon.com

I've been trying to find a decent con here for years! So I know your pain ):

I went to Naka-con this year, but sad to say it was kinda boring.

Since I live in Tonganoxie, It's hard to get out to like, Wichita and stuff, but I was thinking about going out there next year!
