Older superhero cosplay suggestions

Hello all. First time ever doing cosplay. Looking for suggestions for an older male (about to turn 50). I’ve always been into comics and RPGs but never cosplayed. Going to a convention in Sept 2018 and I’m looking for suggestions for cosplay for males my age.
The only things I’ve seen so far that might fit is Kingdom Come Superman or Old Man logan. But I think they have been done to death. I’m up for Comics, Anime, Movies, whatever. As long as it’s cool. I have artistic skill and resources so props aren’t an issue. Would love some suggestions.
