The Online Store Thread

Post by waynekaa » Sat Nov 06, 2004 8:42 pm

Using this thread I'll compile a list of links to stores where you can get RAW MATERIALS type stuff online. If you're looking for pre-styled/pre-made costumes and wigs, head on over here:

If you have a suggestion to add, then reply here, I'll add the link to this master link list at the top so that people will only need to browse the top just incase the thread gets huge. (I'll do that once a week or so :P):

Plastic:

For plastics and Wonder Flex, I buy from Mainstage Theatrical Supply - http://www.mainstage.com/

Fabric:

I've boughten a lot of different fabrics from Distinctive Fabric - http://www.distinctivefabric.com/

If you're lucky enough to live near Vouge Fabrics, go there, but otherwise, here's their online store - http://www.voguefabricsstore.com/store/ ... index.html

Wigs & extensions:

Ragdolly.net - http://ragdolly.net/

Other misc:

Corset supplies~

Richard the Thread - http://richardthethread.com/ (I have purchased from them and I'm very happy!)

Corset Making - http://corsetmaking.com/ (I've also ordered from them and it's been good)

Farthingales (from Canada, but still reasonable for people in the US to purchase from, too) - http://www.farthingales.on.ca/

I'll dig through my links more when I get a chance, but this was what I currently had on hand :D

For painting and sculpting supplies I often hit Jerry's Artarama first. They also carry a lot of dyes, print (stencil), supplies and tools. It's easy to get sticker shock there because they cater to serious artists, but their student quality paints and classroom sized quantities beat the pants off of Michael's and Hobby Lobby in price and quality.
