I have three I need help on
My first is Anemone from Eureka 7. The second is kairi from Kingdom Hearts 2. The last one is Natsume from .hack infection. I only have two weeks so I need all the help I can get!
start by getting some good referance pictures, mabey even pictures of other cosplays of this character. i usually try to pull apart the characters costume, i either in my head or by drawing from the referance picture - seperate each piece of clothing, that way its easyer to focus on one piece of the clothing other than the whole thing at once.
does that make sense?
Next i would brouse around the fabric store and look for patterns that are close to what you will be making, some times i get a patern for the shirt of a costume and a different pattern for a collar to add on. you will most likely have to do modifications or add on's to your patterns.
measures your self and check the pattern guide for your size
browse the fabric store to get a good idea of what kind of fabric and colors you will use.
Natsume's costume looks a little difficult. for the pattern on her clothes you may want to cut out a seperate fabric and sew it on, if you dont think you can you could try acrylic or fabric paints, but those make the fabric stiff. when you go to the fabric store ask about bias tape, i would use it on her collar, mabey you could ask some one there if they have any suggestions
hope this helps im not very good at explaining things
