Need help Yuffie from FFVII:AC

Post by Deanie425 » Wed Aug 29, 2007 7:33 pm

I am horrible at sewing and I don't have a machine near by...but may be able to track one down...

Anyways so I just need some tips from you, the pros, on how i should go about doing this.

Oh and I am having trouble locating photos of Yuffie.

Oh and I have only cosplayed like 2 times...so I am still very green.

To help start out, started cosplaying off the Thrift store, easy stuff to chop to make something, then I worked my way out further.

Oh, all right then! I think the hardest thing would be the shoes for Yuffie, but if you're willing to spend a bit there are these shoes.

Also, I'm pretty sure you're going to have to paint the flower pattern on her shirt. This thread on cosplay.com will help a lot.

Okay, where are you people buying shoes that $40 is expensive? Seriously, I pay $50 for a halfway decent pair of sneakers, and wouldn't be surprised at a $80-$120 price tag on good mass produced hiking boots.

To answer theorgional post, the thrift shop is the best place to start. Not only is it a great place to start, taking apart things from the thrift store is often cheaper than buying patterns.

Im acctualy cosplaying yuffie as well, same version too, and im in need of help...

I seen the info on the detailing of the shirt on here already, but does anyone have info on the detailing of her vest and maybe her shorts?

Also... this is my first real cosplay so anything to make it easy would help. Im not the greatest at sewing, but I am friends with the sewing teacher ar school, so she may be able to help me.
