Disclaimer: I am not you. If you injure yourself, it's not my fault.

Well, if I were making this, I'd first make it our of wood, then I'd cast it and make a resin blade.

You'd need for the wood blade:

tools:
A jigsaw
A Dremel
A drill
A wood plane
wood carving knife
Sander
sand paper

Materials:
1 6"x1"x5' board
2 4"x1"x3' board
1 2x4' square of hardboard
1 1" dowel
1 1 1/4" dowel
1 2' triangle angle reinforcement
1 tub of wall spackle
1 thing of Gesso (or your favorite extra thick primer)
1-2 cans "metalic silver" spray paint
1 can gloss black paint
2 cans extra heavy clear gloss

You'd like:
a drillpress
a set of drillbits that "square off" cuts
a router
a bandsaw

For the resin blade, you'd ALSO need:

50-75 pounds plaster
2-3 gallons body filler
1-2 gallons fiberglass resin
1 roll 1/4" construction mesh
1 gas mask

It's WAY too late here, so I'll start posting the how to later.
