I'll stop cosplaying when Peter Pan gets old.

I agree with Fialcher, you're never to old to cosplay.

Never too old, you should go by a charactor by your age though.

I agree with the first two posts, you can't be too old to cosplay. ^^ However, my opinion differs from Sterling, as I don't really think it matters if whoever you are cosplaying as is the same age is you are. That would be just WAY too limiting for alot of people.

I'm a bit more real in my opinion. While I would never give up cosplay willingly, it's alright to do it while you're youthful and stuff. When you're a Mother of like, 40, then I think you should dedicate your time to other things. O.o, plus, it's just strange after awhile! That 40 year old otaku male in that Venus skirt does make people cringe.

I know who you're talking about but I have no idea what his name is. I call him Minister though. He looks albino, yes? He led us all on during my first year of Acen and became our group leader as we stayed up all night. He was like our sheperd.

I got a mixed signal from people about him.
"He's creepy" "He's a really cool guy" "He's weird, but he's an alright guy"

It's like Ed from Cowboy Beebop, he's an 8' tall alien who was kicked out of school and dresses in drag.

He's the Minister, simple as that. If you don't understand, then you never shall.

Hmm...can't say I agree with you there. I may not be anyone's mom, but I am 41, and just started in anime cosplay last year. Even if I'd probably cringe at that 40 year old guy in the skirt, if he was dressed in something less creepy, I definitely wouldn't mind. [Actually, I probably wouldn't mind the skirt unless he was *acting* creepy, and then I don't care how old or young he is... :x ] And just because someone's a mother, doesn't mean she shouldn't cosplay as long as she's also keeping up with her motherly responsibilities...

Imo I think people of all ages should cosplay if they really want to.Just don't be creepy about it. I don't mind people like guys wearing skirts,I just agree with Rin-sama in a sense they shouldn't act creepy.

My blood is my tears, but i know you don't care, so i keep it to myself. So many years and years i have been okay, but suddenly i don't like myself.

hmm my family cosplays with me....my mom, dad and little brother all do it's kinda a family thing the 'rents are keeping up with the times and getting to know their kids it's really great......Although no one can pick characters from the same anime so we are like a mash of crazy people...PCM 06 will be my dad's first anime con and he's going to go as Captian Red Shoes from One Piece, My mom's first con she went as Sumire from Tramps like Us this year she'll either be going as BElldandy or Starfire....my little brother hasn't figured it out yet but he loves cosplaying with his big sister, since she spends like months getting the costume to look perfect....(took me almost two months to get the Aku perfect on his Sano cosplay)...so really what I'm trying to say is cosplay really is for anyone. old (dad is 54-55) or young (brother is 10) tall or short (I'm 5'7" and the tallest in my family) cosplay helps keep this family together....of course I get the short end of the deal having to make the costumes.

I don't think there's an age limit. Even if an 80-year-old wants to cosplay, it's all good... ^_^

Oh, and:

(Umm.... Ed's a girl... lol. She says it in the movie.. ^^)
COSTUME FINISHED: Haku (battle outfit)

NEXT COSTUME PLANNED: A character from Bleach-- most likely Hanatarou...

PLANNED CON(s): AniZona 2006 (April 24-26)

I think you're right! You're never to old to cosplay if you do it right.
