Why won't your parents let you wear a wig? That's lame.

There's a difference- they won't let her buy a wig, most likely because wigs can be very expensive.

Well, if you wanted to do someone from Alien Nine (which I had never heard of before, but is very cute), and you can't change your hair, the obvious choice would be Yuri. If you don't have enough references, you can find some here.

I should make this costume...

If you can find a bicycle helmet like this one that fits you, it'd be a good base. Then you can sculpt the eyes on to the top using a variety of things... Sculpey might work (I actually thought of fibreglass, but that may be too difficult/time consuming), but I'm sure others will have their own suggestions.

At least Yuri's borg doesn't have those spikes or anything on it... you may even be able to find a child-sized helmet shaped like a frog (with the eyes already part of it), saving you the trouble of making them, and you could just paint the rest of it. I'm debating on what to recommend for the wings, though. I'm thinking sewn and stuffed fleece, with wire inside to keep the shape. Then you'd take the end of the wire and stick it through the styrofoam of the helmet and attatch it (with hotglue). Then you can make and attatch the feathery/leafy-tail thing. I suggest you get a large fake leaf (fake plants section of the craft/home décor store) and paint it red and white.

Here is what I am talking about, if this crappy image helps any. I swear, my computer drawing skills have been rendered nonexistant by disuse.

Well, I meant make the costume for me ^^; because I think it's so cute.

If the helmet doesn't fit you, you can scrape out some of the inside padding to make it fit, or you can go looking for a simple and cheap helmet that does fit you.
