Bows and Dice

Post by eboni ninja » Mon Apr 07, 2008 3:43 pm

Hi I wondering if anyone could help me. I need to make giant bows for the back of my Rabi en Rose cosplay and for her hair and on top of that I have to make Dice for her hair and I don't know how to make them and how to make them look like a perfect bow you know so that they don't sag. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks

Well a stiff interfacing, some plastic boarding or even a mesh or wire (blunt those points) will help add the stiffness you need.

Oh the wonders of bows ^^ my yaone bow was a PAIN.
I would use thick heavy interfacing
(don't do what we did and stuff it with filler)
and make it in 2 parts the big bow part first then the remaining stands. and those will not need interfacing ( i don't think)
i suggest using this tutorial and altering it for you need.

oh yeah and here is an OK (not great) tute for making fuzzy dice. I would suggest hot-glueing black felt circles (trace the bottom of a hi-liter or other round object for consistency) rather than pom-poms. Also, you can stuff it with...stuffing instead. Thirdly, you can use felt or something less expensive for the material (perhaps not felt but I don't think fake fur will really give the look you are going for). finally, be sure to make a practice one first to test size and skill!

edit: did I forget to put the website on here? silly me!
