Aeris Cosplay and Sennen Ring help...

Post by Adnawun » Sun May 02, 2004 5:14 am

Aeris:
The pink dress seems easy enough, but I'm having trouble with the metal parts on her jacket sleeves:

or try: http://www.boomspeed.com/siberian/aeris5.jpg
And the metal cuffs on her wrists also seem a bit tricky...

Any help on how to do those would be very very nice :P

Bakura's Sennen Ring:
I've seen a few posts already on how to make the Ring
Image
or: http://www.boomspeed.com/siberian/Ring-ep36-1s.jpg

But I'm looking for someone who can help me make it, by using a step-by-step method. I'm still stuck on what materials to use, how to shape them, paint them etc.
So anyone who's made one before, or has any ideas, please let me know
>_<
I'm feeling really lost on where to start with the Ring.

Anyway, thankyou!

this is easy, for the metal parts anyway. Just duct tape the ends of the sleeves but make sure its not just on the fabric b/c then it wont look right...maybe you could sew in or just glue on a roll of tape or something and then put duct tape all over it...ah hell i dont know. Thats what I did.

for the ring, I would suggest scuply clay and/or sheet metal with gold spray paint....there was another thread here that had directions for that ring...I think it's in a YuGiOh topic...

for the ring, I'm looking for step-by-step help, not just things I could use. I'm sure there are heaps of ways to make the ring, like wire, wood etc, but I need someone to go through the method with me ^^;

Thanks for the help with her Jacket cuffs ^0^

for the rod, that's easy (I know you didn't ask) Take a broom stick and get some insulated pads, the round kind to fit over roll bars and other stuff to resist the impact. Take a hot glue gun and fit it around the rod. Now paint.

the ring? find a large teething ring, or something close to it. Now you'll need some handy craftmenship.
Plastic, wood, or metal. cut a triangle to not fit, make it oversized, only by a little bit. Mark the ring to the points where the triangle will be. take a hobby knife and slit small razor cuts at those points so the triangle will fit in those slots. Take some metal foil (Aluminum, tin, steel) and size it with the triangle, use a pen, screw-driver, or anything with a point and draw the triangle to that size. DO NOT CUT!
Draw the picture on the triangle so the foil will be indented with the design. Pour Elmer's glue, or Hot-glue-gun stuff on it and let it dry, maybe a week?
take the glue mold out and glue it on the triangle, you may cut out the edges to fit now slide the triangle in the ring.
you can use O-hooks that screw in, or use little rings from what not. Look for the hanging things, look in a cheap jewelry store.
For the minute details, dip some string in Elmer's glue and wrap around.
get a huge O ring for the top and twist in.

I live in North East Ohio, if you're near by I'll help.

I saw a girl with that costume at A-Kon... I think she used pvc pipes for the cuffs and metal parts- find something of the right diameter at home depot or a hardware store and spraypaint
no leap in logic is too extreme... for RAGE!
