Making Yuffie's Shuriken!!!

Post by Panda_girl » Tue Jan 10, 2006 5:22 pm

Hello! I need help making Yuffies shuriken. Even though i probably will mess it up anyways, i wanted to make her shuriken as accurate as possible, meaning not a flat peice of wood carved and drawn on. Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions, please share. Thank you!

I think that maybe you could make a base form of the cross section, I am not sure what to use for the center, but for the blades You could use sculptamold and shape the blades, then sand, fill in any gaps with wood filler, then sand again till smooth (You may want to invest in an electric sander, if you haven't already). Paint with the colors you want, then finish it with a sealer, or shellac if you want the blades to be shiny. Sculptamold is really strong and hard to break, I tried to break a piece of it and it wouldn't break after it was dried. You can get it at Joannes, or if you have one in your area, costume and display.

Wood with a Router. That's what I made a few stars like that out of.
