Final Fantasy XII Ashe's leg armor?

Never made any type of armor before. Just curious if you guys have any advice. The patter is pretty complicated. I don't even know where to start for the materials. Post if you can help. Thanx! ^_^

You can see mine on my website, the leg's armor are in leather... I think it's not a good idea... Vynil can be better^^
