Shaman King trey Costume

ok,some of you may know trey(horohoro)and I was wondering,how to make his black costume? ( http://shamankinghq.net/HoroHoro-blackwhite.png ) ??

It seems to be basically a vest and shorts combo. There are sewing patterns that are pretty simple so just browse through the books at the store to find something similar. You have to add the 'zig zags' with either bias tape or non-shiny ribbon.
