Hello, I have do do myself the costume of the Devil. I need it for the carnaval in France. I still have no idea about how to do it it must be serious and scary, but not too scary. If any of you have ideas and eventually pattern of this i will apreciate.
Many thanx in advance.

I'd go with a buff bod suit and place Prostetic horns on your head.
Ever see "Legend"?

Oh that is just stupid! The generic Devil is just plain silly because it's so unbelievable! I would try something closer to the style of Angel Sanctuary's Lucifer. The style is dark but not generic silly.

hrmm... Devil... hrmm... it sounds like you would need a 10ft flame etched bastard sword that I've been wanting to make ;) care to commission one =X.

On a serious note... do you want a classical "devil" or a sekxy Angel Sanctuary one like Loki said?

I would still go with horns though... because they're nifty. Though not regular little pointy ones- try some bizarrely shaped ones. I have some that are kind of like an elongated "3" shape, except pointy. It's very difficult to describe. They're kind of like this:

note: that's not what they look like, but if you get the sort of curvy/pointy and then back on itself like at the top of that design, you can see what I'm getting at.

If I had to make a devil with horns, I would totally do something like Hellboy's full sized horns.

You've got to remember though, this isn't just a devil, this is a Carnaval Devil. Think Mardi Gras with top shelf costumes even by our standards.

Most of the work I've seen for Carnaval involves molded patent leather. Making a one-piece mask/horn headdress like that might be cool, but I have no experience in working with that. Maybe vaccum-formed plastic instead? i do love the idea of fully curved and possibly branching horns though.

I have experience working with Alginate masking and some diff types of molding but i'm not sure that would support horns to good, might be cool tho.

thanks very much

I thank you very much for all your ideas, big unsymetric horns sound good to me, that a good idea, I will try to make a very muscular red chest like hell boy, thanks for tht also. I will cover the rest of the body with dark red suit in lycra or something like..do not know yet. Remains the feet, hands and face, how to do them, i do not have any experience, the same for the chest, the idea is good but i do not know how to realise it.
Anyway your very kind
