yeah, I've seen a few good ones!

A few people made it out of 2 or 3 laywes of Balsa. Ohayocon always has a few weird replica swords by one guy. I'll have to check that out.

I can make one non-metal one.

Yah, go with Sterling.

One of my dream projects is to make a spring loaded Tetsusaiga that you can stuff into a katana scabbard that looks about normal sized and expands as you draw it into a full sized blade.

This project is also in the file with Priss' bike from Bublegum Crisis 2040, my Ford Evil of Humanity Beast IV Reproduction-class battle mech, and my working Wolfwood cross. They'll happen if money and time ever come together and they need a lot of both.

I swear, if you could turn your apartment into a mech, you'd do it. :p Oh great, now I've gone and given you another bad idea... baka Tia

But yeah, on topic, Sterling makes kickass swords. I'd go with him ^_^

No, spring loaded sucks, it gets far too complicated. HOWEVER! get a scabbard for an normal katana and make it very close to an opening in the pants. you can than stuff the large sword in your pants (Hey ladies!). When you pull out the sword fast, it'll make it look like it was stuffed like that.

Talk to me about the Mech car and the gun cross. I've made one that fires.

You've made a Mech car that fires?

Seriously, I'd love to see some pics of the design for that. I'm more concerned with getting the thing to open correctly then getting it to fire though. You know, twist the handle one way, get the machine gun, twist the other way, get the missle launcher, twist halfway, get the thing to close.

That said, I'd love a paintball or airsoft cross.

Really? A tetsusaiga that steals? Whatever will they think of next? ^^;

What I would really like to see is an angel arm. That would be awesome.

O_O

you don't know what the Angel Arm is?

It's what happens when Knives or Legato activates Vash's arm. It grows into this bizarre weapon (which Knives also has). You see both of them in the last episode of the series.

Plaster and a battery with a flickering light... very easy to make.

I meant the FULL arm, not just the start.

I have a friend that's planningf one of those. I say planning because the possibilty of it actually happening is slim to zero.

Stilt and stand under the jacket, very imobile, but it makes a great display for cosplay.
