it's my first time too and she'll be my first costume. miku is a good choice and the only thing you'll have to worry about is which costume and wig to buy! (there's soooooooo many cosplay stores that have it!)

u as hatsune miku and her as kagamine rin, both from vocaloid.

this year will be a first for both me and my sister and that's the cosplay we're doing.

UMM... first thing that came to mind was Roxas from Kingdom Hearts, but ur WAY too tall for that. ... if u wore a black wig, u could pass 4 mori from Ouran High School Host Club or Roy from Fullmetal Alchemist. or u could be Light from Death Note. idk! u kno, u should really just cosplay as whatever...
