Re: Help with Cotton Corset

How to make the whole costume...That's kind of a lot to ask...you may get more helpful responses if you ask more specific questions. ^^; Without going into anything too long or specific, try to find patterns that look similar to what you are making. Look around at different cosplay-related sites for...

Re: Pokemon Black/White Male Trainer, Help!

This pattern is pretty close: http://www.simplicity.com/p-3653-missesmenteen-jacket.aspx Not all the style lines are exactly identical, but you can get the main idea with the two-tone jacket easily. If you're feeling really ambitious, you could make a mock-up and play around with the pattern to get ...

Ani-Magic/Autumn Dream 2010

Hello! Does anyone know if there is going to be an Ani-Magic/Autumn Dream this year? Normally, it seems like the information is available by now to register, etc. but I can't even find the website! I'd heard rumors here and there that X or Y had gone wrong so therefore there wasn't going to be one, ...

Re: Armband help.

I would suggest using this method: http://www.entropyhouse.com/penwiper/costumes/helmsdeep.html You can even sew on it, so for the neck band rather than have it be 3 separate pieces, you could just stitch a "seam" line into it with black thread. Same for the arm bands. You can have it close in prett...

Re: Costume Help: TimeSkip Simon Gurren Lagann

It kind of looks like a men's button-up shirt, minus the collar, roll up the sleeves, and add tails. Since the tails aren't part of how the jacket will fit, you can literally just draw them until they look right to you. I would also suggest trimming the front a little bit, since a men's button-up is...

Well, first of all you aren't designing anything, that's a completely different field. Please don't think I'm being rude, but designers do a lot of work, and it's completely different from construction. Also, it would be really helpful if you post pics or links to pics. Re: Eevee tail help

I would suggest wire. You can either bend it into a single "S" or a double "S" that's connected on each end to give yourself a frame. You will probably need a bigger-gauged wire (don't get something too flimsy) in order to retain the shape. Also, when you make the fabric part of the tail, try out so...

my suggestion would be to draw the sleeve in the kind of shape you would like, get some "practice fabric" and just play around with it until you get a shape and size that works for you. have someone measure how long the straps should be first, so that you have a ballpark figure of how long they shou...

I would suggest buying a chinese dress pattern (they have them at fabric stores - you may have to look under "dresses" or "costumes" in the pattern books), and buying a pajama pants or scrubs pattern. They always go on sale for 1-2$, so don't buy them full price. other than that, I would suggest tha...

Well, while it's hard to fix something like choosing the wrong material (whoever made that should have considered it better), there are things you can do to make it better. For the top, get a zip-up hoodie pattern. Rather than attaching the sleeves, fold the seam allowance in to make a small seam at the arm holes. Do the same for the neckline (don't attach the hood). For the bottom part make it like a long skirt except put slits in the sides and make the front shorter.
