Wouldn't you need, like, some kind of special tool to work with PVC pipe? Or the help of someone in the construction business? How can someone like me make my baton out of it?

Forgive me for being a total n00b, but what IS PVC pipe? And where, if I decide I want to use it, can I get some?

I'm going as Reno from FF7 Advent Children, and I need some suggestions about how to go about constructing his bat/baton/whatever-you-want-to-call-it.
