A few posts back I gave a very detailed description of how to make a sumoner costume, I haven't been here for a few months heh heh I will find it and repost back here for ya.

For my Mew Mew Ichigo, I just used fur for the outside and pink fun foam for the inside, I glued the fur to the fun foam then I folded it almost in half, It was just enough that the pink showed(the inside of the ear). I hope that helps, oh and I glues them to a headband.

I never knew wood props were banned Sakura con as far as I know last year allowed wood props. At Anime Oasis they had a real weapons dealer there and I believe Sakura con did last year, not sure on that but I know that Anime Oasis did. Everything was peace bonded.

For the odangos, is it possible to take part of the pig tail and then wrap the odango around the remaining pigtail?? That is how I would do it, I have made one sailor moon wig before. Yeah or maybe ribbon, I have found it is a bit more sturdy but if you want lace then go with a heavy duty one for sure.

Textile paint will be good cause it has give. I can't think of the brand I use but it leaves the fabric not stiff. And yes the card board in the tights good idea.

I think you should go with the pattern unless you have looked a ta glove and how it was put together. Just tracing your hand and then sewing the around the tracing isn't that great, I have tried. I have made gloves before but I have looked at other gloves and looked at a pattern.

www.cosplaylab.com there was just a dicussion on this. And cosplay lab has great prices. I am a normal contact wear and know that to buy theatrical contacts even at Wal mart is more expensive. Cosplaylab is your best bet.

I would actually get a fabric paint that has give once dry. I think it is called textile paint. Find the right colors and then gradiate the paint up the dress. Experiment with different painting strokes before doing the real thing.
