About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
Coat is made with a cotton-poly blend, with cotton bias tape trim and polyester lining. The shorts are a spandex-cotton blend.
The epaulets are made with clear plastic balls cut down to size, flexible PVC tubing, and then filled with expanding foam and backed with felt. The "fringe" is stuffed tubes of rolled fabric.
All of the accessory pieces were resin cast by me EXCEPT for the gold rose brooch piece, which I got from Starlit Creations on Etsy and painted to match everything else.
The shoes were thrifted and then painted with floral paint to get her signature black and white. - Personal Thoughts:
- I love love LOVE how this turned out! Utena has been one of my favorite characters for a long time, so this is yet another dream come true.
