Construction Details:

The top is a black knit jersey. It's a simple loose tank top with a collar added on.

The skirt is made out of red gabardine. I tried pleating it, but the pleats absolutely wouldn't hold, so I put some elastic at the top to create and kind of faux pleated look. The waistband and attached side pocket are a separate piece that goes on like a belt.

Personal Thoughts:

A quick costume I made in a pinch for AWA 2013. It turned out pretty cute, I think, plus is was super comfortable and cool, which is very important for a summer con in Georgia.
