Construction Details:

The two kimonos and hamaka were made from cotton sateen, while the coat was made from curtain fabric, which has a really nice weave and pattern sewn into it.

The fox mask was made from fosshape base, layered with gesso then painted up. The sword was a cardboard base, masking taped then built up with gesso and sanded back till smooth. The accessories across it are craft foam.

I had made wooden geta, and my nine tailed are made from 8 metres of faux fur, and stuffed with giant inflatable bananas :D BEST SUITCASE SPACE SAVING IDEA EVER also made them light as heck to wear!

Personal Thoughts:

I have very little interest in this series, but this costume was probably the most fun I've had in putting a piece together. My group and I entered the Auckland Armageddon comp in 2012, taking out the best skit award.
