Construction Details:

The coat made from a bottom weight from Jo Ann's and is based on a Matrix coat pattern from Simplicity. I altered it to add pockets, trim, and the belts on the waist. I also got to gradient dye the coat before adding in the lining. The tassels are made from a trim that I had to cut apart to form each tassel.

The pants are made from the same bottom weight as the coat, and they have a fly and jean pockets.

The cuffs are made from expanding foam, that is then taped, paper mache'd, and painted. The padlock is layers of craft foam and foam board.

The feathers used in his hair are real cockatoo feathers, trimmed and painted, because his all-mate is a cockatoo. His pin is made of craft foam, and the belt was trimmed and was given a new belt buckle.
