Construction Details:

I took two patterns and merged them together for this dress. The sleeves are from one pattern and the dress is another. It's fully lined and I fitted and altered the pattern so that it was front opening and drafted the collar myself. The buttons are functional.

What made this cosplay difficult was the button holes and the collar. Both made it more complicated than it ought to have been. The collar took two tries to get right while on the other hand, when I was finishing the project and had one last buttonhole, the buttonhole ripped across the entire front seam. So I had to take it all apart and fix it, lining and all, so redo all the buttonholes, meaning now the buttons on the other side don't quite line up like they did. UGH.

Personal Thoughts:

This has been a costume I long thought impossible to complete without making my own fabric. But while buying fabric for someone else I found the perfect yellow plaid and I just HAD to go forward and do this.

Wig Review

I really love this wig. The color is true and the curls are perfectly unperfect. I do wish I had some way to smooth it out though, as I'm getting flyaways the more I use it.
