Personal Thoughts:

The first time I made it, it was a bit too small proportionally to the rest of the cosplay, so in 2014 for Fanime I remade it (and the first version was starting to come apart anyway). Though, I kept the crimson gems and the mechanical centerpieces by peeling them off the old one and sticking them on the new base lol! (Saved time and they were just fine maintenance-wise anyway)
