About this Costume
Construction Details:
Made/altered everything except for the burgundy shirt, leggings, ears, and gloves.

Boots: Bought some vintage boots and made straps in a matching vinyl and attached those/added buckles.

Umbrella: Made patches and stitched them to the umbrella (picking out the fabric and cutting these out was actually my favorite part of making this costume, I DON'T KNOW WHY IT WAS SO FUN), and sculpted an ice cream cone around the handle, then painted it. I'm really happy with how it came out. Painted the tips gold.

Hat: Made from scratch, base is foam and buckram.

Wig: Used two wigs -- cut the scalp off of a blonde wig and dyed its tips purple, then stitched it to the scalp of the blue wig. Made the ahoge by gluing hair from the rest of the wig to a thick wire. Stuck it into the scalp of the wig and stitched it down. This is going off the manga coloring, where the gradient is a lot more extreme than in the anime.

Goatee: Hair I cut from the wig and stuck to a latex base, then styled with spiking glue to make it pointy.

Brooch: Made from Sculpy and a skewer.

Buttons: Found buttons with a groove in the middle, painted and attached at wonky angles like in canon. I guess the anime got lazy and didn't do the alternating colors like the manga did?

Phone: Got an old pink phone and scoured the universe for all the charms he has and attached them to phone straps. For some reason the hardest thing to find was the damn beach ball. For the dice, I got a bunch of multicolored dice keychains, took them apart, combined the blue ones onto one string, and painted the dots. Sculpted the angry bunny, and DID A PRETTY CRAPPY JOB ON THAT ONE but whatevs.

Everything else is pretty straightforward, I think!
Personal Thoughts:
So now that Otakon's over I've finally made a better hat. IT REALLY SUCKS TO MAKE HATS in case anyone wasn't clear on that fact.

Still not really happy with how the jacket fits, since it's a little short and I... can't really move my arms in the sleeves. Also after losing some weight in the past few months the shorts are suddenly huge.

I also really hate the white fabric I used, it ended up wrinkling easily and doesn't hang well, but I'm not going to blow the money on remaking it any time soon.

OH WELL, I still love this costume a lot overall and am proud of all the work that went into it.
