I have NEVER attempted making a costume like this...actually..never made a costume before this lol. The Main material used is a one way stretch crushed velvet type material found easily at Joanne's craft stores. The feet and hands started out as a pair of cheap gloves and a pair of toe socks. The claws are hand sculpted (by me ;p) out of Sculpy brand polymer clay. Both hands and feet had to be hand sewn while i was wearing them because the way the material stretches. The mask was probably the hardest most tedious part. From a previous mask project (not cosplay related), I had a self-made plaster copy of my own face. Using the plaster copy, I used more sculpy to shape the way i wanted the mask to look. After I constructed that, I had to bake the clay (oven friendly), make a rubber mold, then fill the mold with layers of rigid wrap (like plaster in "fabric" form). This took forever!!! After the Rigid Wrap mask was done, I glued that to a ski mask and used a sheer white stretch fabric to overlay the eyes and mouth so you can't see either of mine. As for the body, I had to recruit my mom into helping figure out how to readjust a halloween animal costumes pattern to a slim fitting red one piece. X.x after blood, sweat, and tears...I'd say it was all worth it ^-^ "Believe It!!"
