Construction Details:

I started with a yellow t-shirt, shortened it, and removed the sleeves and collar. I used those removed parts as a pattern to cut out maroon pieces in the exact same shape. Sewing the pieces back together gave me the yellow shirt with the maroon sleeves and collar. The star, dots, and word ‘crimin’ were all cut out and ironed on (appliquéd) in place. I found a long, white tiered skirt at a thrift shop and dyed it light pink. I wore ribbed pink socks so they would look like fin tips in case they showed and red pumps.
