Construction Details:

I looove this costume. My second original design. There are so many Alice interpretations out there, so it's difficult to actually make one that hasn't already been done. So many incorporate the 4 card symbols, blue, white, red or black, ruffles or lace, and a cute little apron. I wanted to of course use these details because I think that they make the character recognizeable. I patterned and made this back in October and got photos of it at Katsucon 2009. I switch back and forth between a brown and short blonde wig because I like the look of both and can't decide which looks better. :)

Personal Thoughts:

I love designing original stuff and making them for myself. It's always fun to look at a reference and see the result in a photo at a convention. Of course this is true to any cosplay, but original designs are especially fun since they are entirely my creation. :D
