About this Costume
Construction Details:
This costume was so much fun to wear! sadly, I'm a bit too busty for Lina anymore... but its a costume I have been wanting to make for almost a decade now, and finally got around to doing it. Debuted at Anime USA 2008. Next time I wear it I will be attempting to bind. I also plan to redo parts of it before the next con I go to. I really wanted to resin cast all the gems and amulets, but I ran short on money near completion, so I resorted to the good old Christmas ornaments. Same reason why I didn't get the red contacts yet either. I'm also missing my sword belts, but as I didn't have a sword, I didn't get to them. All will be fixed before the next con. I love my wig! It came from Cosplay Wigs, and it was the perfect color and length! It's even wavy at the ends just like Lina's! and it was so easy to manage... unlike my husband's Gourry wig. This was also my first endeavor into costume armor, and I was really pleased with how it turned out! Its all a combination of chip board, craft foam, paperclay, and model magic, and using plastic, basketball shaped party hats at the bases for the round parts. Then it was all primed and painted. For what they are made of, they are really hard and durable. They are by far my favorite part of the costume! This was so much fun! Now I'm torn as to which costume I enjoy more, Lime or this!
