Construction Details:

Everything is handsewn. Even the hat and Gulliver. This was my first time making a hat or a stuffed animal so it was an interesting experience. I had a lot of fun making this though. The outfit is made out of a white knit, the first time using this type of fabric. Lots of interfacing to get the collar to stand up like his. I hand made all the trim and detail pieces on his sleeves and the front of the jacket. I also made sure to add the white buttons on the blue pieces of his pants and the pointless grey button on the back of the coat. The little grey soldier metals are model magic with pin backs. The shoes are just plain white shoes that I painted the blue pieces onto.

Personal Thoughts:

For the first time I used a machine on an item. I used it on Gulliver. Since he is stuffed with those tiny microbeads you find in those funky pillows, I had to use the machine to make sure I got my stiches very small so the beads didn't come out. I hand sewed around him four times and machine stiched twice. That will be the end of my machine sewing for a long time XD It was terrifying XD. Anyway, I made this outfit because I adore Dominic and there aren't many of him out there in the cosplay world. His outfit is completely handsewn. I didn't use a pattern but it is just a standard jacket. I tried to make sure I got all the tiny details correct since it was a pretty straight forward outfit.
