Construction Details:

Jacket with hood:
I used fleece for the entire costume. I felt it was appropriate considering it was a winter/Christmas type outfit. I made the jacket a looser fit like the reference images suggest it is. It is after all a jacket and not a bodysuit. I attached the hood right onto the jacket.I used faux fur trimming around the hood and the cuffs. There is an invisible zipper that runs up the front of the jacket for ease to get in and out of the garment. The diamonds are appliquéd on using felt in the same colors.

Pants, Boot covers and Bib: The pants are fleece as well (the fleece I used was stretch fleece.)I appliquéd the felt diamonds on the pants. They are elastic waist.The boot covers are removable off the shoes. I used the same fleece as the base suit and topped them with the faux fur trim. rnThe white bib is made of a cotton interlock jersey knit. It Velcro’s in the back for ease of putting on over the suit. It is lined and has store bought pompoms on each dip.

Belt and Gloves:
The belt is made of some brown micro suede I had on hand already. I attached large silver bells to the ends. rnThe gloves were bought. Just basic red and black winter knit gloves were used.

Mask:
The mask is the same one I use for my animated series Harley costume. It is leather, water formed to my face; then dyed black and sealed with a gloss.

Personal Thoughts:

I originally made this costume for a commission. The commission didn’t follow through due to an emergency on their end so they had to pass up on the costume. Luckily for me the costume was pretty well in the same size I take. I have tried to sell this costume but the biggest issue I find is the size is incorrect for most people inquiring about it.This is yet again another Harley costume to add to the list of ones I have completed. This costume was featured in Batgirl Adventures #1. This costume is often referred to as Harley’s Christmas costume.
