About this Costume
Construction Details:
Fabrics are all unknown discount materials from Sew Low in Cambridge. They all feel like cotton - the white is a little thicker like canvas and the green is weirdly shiny.
I also used small pieces of shiny lycra around the arms and neck.
I bought the green/gold ribbon from NirmanSupplies on Etsy and I'm in love with it - I highly recommend checking out their store!
The small bag is a FiberOne box that I glued leftover fabric onto.
All jewelry is made from layered craft foam, hot glue, and paint. Also orange-y rope around the neck.
Socks are from Urban Outfitters.
I bought the shoes on Amazon, painted them, and glued a weird gold fabric I found in the $1 bin.
Weapons were an awful decision. Joke weapons are no joke - the normal ones would've been so much easier! These are made from perfectly measured and cut foam board (I think that's what it's called - it's the huge like 6 foot pieces they have at Blick) about 1/2 in. thick. There is also a wooden dowel and foam balls. Put together with hot glue, best paste, tape... anything that worked (can't remember exactly). Then I paper mached the whole thing with a water/flour paste. Then sprayed with hammered silver paint.
Personal Thoughts:
Talim has been a childhood dream of mine, so I was very excited when my friend mentioned a SC2 group!
