Construction Details:

Top: Red polyester gabardine. I added cording in the princess seams to give it detail. It was my first time installing an invisible zipper. The collar is finished with a bias binding.rnrnCape: the hood is black vinyl spandex, and the base is yellow spandex. It's closed with a hook and eye.rnrnProps: All props were made by Shimezu, with the help of D.A. Props.
The emblem and mask are made of worbla. Primed with woodfiller first, plastidipped, then painted. The gauntlets are made of craft foam sheets superglued together, and sintra spikes glued onto the side. It's closed with a zipper. I had a detachable staff made of PVC pipes with a nipple and thread attached in the middle. Batarangs were made of Sintra.

Personal Thoughts:

Along with my own costume, I sewed Red Robin and Batman for my friends. I only had 4 weeks to sew all three costumes so everything was very rushed! This was my first time sewing an entire costume from scratch, as well as working with spandex, so I was at a disadvantage. There are many things I'd like to improve, but for my first time I think I did pretty well. I had so much fun jumping around as Damian and playing with my friends.
