About this Costume
- Construction Details:

The top is shiny coral organdy over coral broadcloth. The front three panels are underlined with fleece to keep my corset from showing through. The neck ring thingy is just a gold hoop that I split open. There are blobs of worbla on the raw ends to keep it from scraping my neck. The edges are serged roll hems.rnrnThe skirt is red crepe de chine backed in the same broadcloth as the bodice. This fabric was possibly the worst thing I have ever had to work with in my life. Ended up having to interface the crepe just to be able to sew it. Ugh. Still annoyed. There are 8 individual petals that are sewn to an elastic waistband.rnrnThe wing frams are made from steel wire (12 AWG for the spines and 14 AWG for all of the veins) and hot glue. They are covered with 3 layers of cellophane each: pink for the innermost layers, and then two layers of iridescent. Each layer is front/back, tacked down with spray adhesive, and then ironed to melt them together around the frame. More wire was used to join the 4 wings together and a piece of Sintra acts as a support. The whole base is covered in craft foam and gets shoved down the back of my corset.rnrnThe shoes are an old pair of hot pink flats. I just slapped a layer of red acrylic on them and went with it. :'DrnrnCorset is an overbust from corset-story.
- Personal Thoughts:

Wig Details
- Styling Notes
- Teased the front and ventilated a slight widow's peak using fiber from the back of the wig.
- Wig Review
- I don't prefer Arda for my wigs, but this one was on clearance. So.
Standard issues with Arda's fibers tangling/frizzing. I'll need to re-do the styling since it got a bit windblown.
Also my first time wearing a lace front, which was an experience and I'm hoping to have a better grasp on How to Do the Thing for my next lacefronts.
