Construction Details:

The pattern for this gown had the most convoluted, confusing instructions. I'm pretty sure my bodice has a mobius strip or a tesseract in it from the ways I had to fold & sew & turn this fabric. So my dress can now time travel. Cool story bro.

It was an internal struggle to not overly bling out Rarity, like a Sakizou costume, but to include just enough to look elegant & draw the eye but not be tacky. Going rhinestone happy all over this dress was really hard.

The hair clips I made based on her Equestria Girls barrette design. The gloves are from We Love Colors & the horn/ears are from Yaya.

Also I'm insanely happy I finally got to wear my unicorn princess heels that were a birthday gift from my friend Mandy. They've sat in my closet untouched for years & they're perfect for Rarity.

Personal Thoughts:

I saw some gorgeous art on dA of Rarity as a silver screen siren/in 1940's evening gown & really loved that gijinka interpretation of her. So I wanted to make my own
