About this Costume
Construction Details:
Okay, so altogether it took me a full year to make this cosplay. It used so many new techniques as well. Such as learning how to darn on a normal sewing machine so that I could create the lute designs at the bottom of the dress as well as the Hylian glyphs on the edge of bodice and the glove designs. I drafted my own patterns for the everything too, there are 8 box pleats on the white dress. The white dress is made of white casa satin and the bodice is a light pink silk dupioni dyed purple. The white gloves are matte spandex and so are the arm cuffs which were dyed grey.

The armor is a craft foam base with model magic for the details that is coated in fiberglass resin and then spray painted gold and weathered.

And the wig.. *sigh* Well, the wig is Enchantment in color 12 by Amphigory. I actually added three packs of color 12 that I mixed with color 22 to create the thickness of Zelda's hair as well as the highlights she has in her hair. So that actually took quite a bit of time to create the wefts and then sew them in by hand.. ^_^'
Personal Thoughts:
Wow this cosplay has been my dream cosplay since I first played Twilight Princess, it's kind of annoying to wear with the pauldrons and such as well as in the summer because of all those layers… but I'm really proud of how it all turned out. (And I'm so glad I finished it) XD
