Construction Details:

All the red material is casa satin, and the white is cotton spandex. Everything was patterned and made by me.

Tiara was simply craft foam with a rhinestone glued on.

Choker velcros in the back

Leotard is comprised of two pieces serged together: the top bodice, which was double-lined for thickness and opacity, and the lower torso piece which has a thin lining and snaps at the bottom.

Sleeves are rolled up polyurethane foam covered with cotton spandex and then hand-sewn onto the leotard.

Bows are both just two rectangles lightly interfaced which were pinched in the center and handsewn onto the costume

Sailor collar is also lightly interfaced, and serged onto the leotard. The stripe is ribbon attached with heat n' bond, which turned out super smooth and clean.

Skirt is 1 1/2 circle skirts knife pleated and sewn onto the hip roll, which was made the same way the sleeves were, and then attached to the leotard.

Glove tops were made the same way the sleeves were, and the gloves are just made with a basic glove pattern.

I actually got the brooch off a toy from a Wendy's kid's meal while I was out fabric shopping with some friends! It was the perfect size and color and everything! I glued a pin back onto the back of it and pinned it onto the bow.

Shoes were purchased as is.

I intended to use my old Homura wig, but that got damaged beyond repair, so I just used my real hair.

Overall, this was a super simple costume to make, but it was very tedious.

Personal Thoughts:

This was probably the most spur-of-the-moment costume I've done. I was invited into a Sailor Moon group that never ended up happening, so I had a half-finished fuku, and decided to finish it up for Fallcon. Wore it once, and managed to burn the fabric and get a stain on it the day of, so I sadly can't wear it again (ﾟ´Д｀ﾟ)ﾟ
