Construction Details:

I used the Folkwear hanbok pattern as a basis for this costume. The hot pink fabric is polyester silk duponi and the rest of the fabrics are two-tone taffeta in various shades. I tried to match the colors of Lady's stripes as closely as I could while also using fabrics that are the appropriate weight for a cheogori and chima. I also made a "petticoat" that is the same length as the chima out of bridal crinoline to help give the chima the correct fullness.

Personal Thoughts:

I love Adventure Time and Korean culture so this costume was inevitable. This costume is one of the most comfortable things I've ever worn and I'm definitely looking forward to wearing it again in the future.

Styling Notes

The wig was originally curly and was straightened using a hair straightener. The horn is stabilized with and attached to the wig by several lengths of 12 gauge wire.
