Cosplayer Hooded Woman > Costume of Nico Robin from One Piece
About this Costume
- Construction Details:
- I drafted out a really simple jacket pattern...and having done the same style collar for the Luffy costume I simply used the same pattern I had drafted for that costume and made it smaller. Pretty simple. The belt was made of some extra pleather that I had laying around. I made the "buckle" out of foamies. I painted and added the designs to the buckle...I then added grommets (I painted gold to match) and poof....completely easy and over-sized belt!
The wig was actually my Zatanna wig. I accidentally gave the wrong wig to a friend on Friday night (I thought it was my Dr. Girlfriend wig, but it was my Robin wig) and I told her she could cut and style it to fit the character she was cosplaying. Little did I know....so, I chopped up my Zatanna wig that I happen to have with me the morning of. So, it's not perfect but pretty good for a stand-in wig I cut the morning of.
- Personal Thoughts:
- So, I really love One Piece...and I know a lot of you know this. I had some really great friends who would never stop talking about it....and so I got into reading it. Best decision! Anyway, on to the costume:
So, Robin...bit of a switch up from the Nami I have done in the past. I really love Robin too, and it took awhile but when my friend asked me to make him a Luffy costume from Strong World the movie I knew I had to do Robin!
