About this Costume
- Construction Details:
- This was a huge technical sewing level-up costume for me. The skirts consist of 4 layers. We used a soldering iron for the scallops. The top layers are heavily interfaced with mitered corners on the trim, a first for me. They snap onto the leotards (which we bought) so they can pack/travel easily. The one-winged eagle is applique. I modified a white dress shirt, ties were bought, and Jessie/Rufflebutt Cosplay made the patches for our group! THEY ARE FLAWLESS. My vest and jacket are fully lined, and it was my first time doing notched lapels.
- Personal Thoughts:
- I held off on watching Umineko for a REALLY long time because I knew I wouldn't be able to resist cosplaying from it. The long, harsh winter of Japan made me cave in though, and sure enough, the cosplay bug got the best of me with this series!
I chose Leviathan because I haven't done green hair in a while! We coordinated the group so our costumes would match as closely as possible. Some of our girls couldn't make it, but that's ok!
This costume was insanely fun to wear and I LOVED meeting people from the Umineko fandom!
Wig Details
- Styling Notes
- All I had to do was trim the bangs.
- Wig Review
- This wig is pretty bright in person, and I was disappointed at first... but in some lighting it's lighter :) It's also very soft and has a nice style to it!
